Yesterday I had my one and only uni exam, and thank god. I hadn't done exams since I left school in 2008, so it was intense. Hoping I've done OK though. So after that I headed into Edinburgh for some retail therapy, a lot of it. Went a bit accessory mad in Primark.

Wearing the trousers I bought yesterday, They are an amazing colour, a Lilac-Pink I'll call it. Teamed it up with my dress as the pink colours were very similar

Today I was getting my hair cut. The plan was to upload a video of how to Ombre blonde hair and hair extensions. But something went mad with the video and I've given up fighting with it! Technology is not being my friend at the moment. In another fail there will be no monthly update tomorrow, because I dropped my phone in the toilet.
Woe is me.

Human Testing.

Last year I decided I was going to change all my beauty cosmetics to Cruelty Free Ones. I can't remember what was the turning point. I actually think it was seeing one of the Lush windows and I then signed a petition against animal testing and I decided from there that I was going to practise what I preached and make the change.

I used up the last of my old products (because I hate waste) and then started to buy only cruelty free ones. So it started with make up. I changed my foundation, then powder, blusher, mascara etc. I hate change so I have taken it slow. Whenever I ran out of a product instead of re buying the old one I'd buy a new cruelty free one.

At first I was really really scared actually. I was worried the makeup would be rubbish and I wouldn't like it as much as my old stuff. Which hasn't happened and I love the make up I use now and I honestly feel great knowing its cruelty free. I really don't mean that in a pretentious or condescending way honestly, its just because its something I care about so much and I'm proud of myself  for sticking with it!

I'm constantly learning about cruelty free products and learning about more and more animal tested products. For instance I only found out recently that toothpaste is tested on animals, I have no idea why I thought it wasn't, I guess I just wasn't thinking, since then I use cruelty free toothpaste. Hopefully another wee bunny saved!

I don't blog about beauty products, because honestly, I'm not interested in it. I've never been into make up and I never really buy much. So there is no point me really talking about it, except in this instance to tell you that its sooooo easy to make the change! I'm sorry if people disagree but I think if you don't think about where your products come from you are just lazy. If you can spare the time to do some swatches and nosey around Superdrug, you can spare a minuet to spare a thought for the innocent life that suffered so your eyebrows could look good!

Just give it a thought guys. That's all I ask :)

So whats brought all this on? Well if you have been on twitter you will have seen lots of people tweeting about Lush's recent Animal Testing Protest. You can read about it Here.

Disturbing right? I love it. Its so provocative and shocking but the sad fact is that sometimes shock is the only way to get the message across. The woman who took part in it is so brave! I could never subject myself to it, so well done to her!

Its really weird because  today I was just thinking imagine someone filmed animal testing on a human, and then I was sent an email about this. I'm well a physic! ... lol nah I must have subconsciously seen or heard about it at some point today!

So I don't think I will be blogging again until, Friday. My final exam is tomorrow so today I travel back to Galashiels for the night all set for my exam. On Friday I am getting my hair done, New colour new extensions and a wee trim. So what I'm hoping to do is upload a video about how I do it. As I'm always searching for hair tutorials with hair extensions (As in using them in styles) and i can never find any good ones. I hope it all works out well.

I shall leave you with some pictures of my pets :)

Hawaii Yeah.

Dress Primark

So are Hawaiian dresses on the same level as shirts? Should they only be worn on holiday? Perhaps. But I'm sure I will find an appropriate occasion to wear this again. Can one of my friends have a beach wedding please? I love this dress, I love the shape, colours, pattern, everything, although it is a little long so I will take it up a little.

A different hairstyle today. It just wasn't going right and after battling with it for ages it ended up like this. I'm glad I managed to get a photo because I guarantee it will never look like this again. Why does hair do that!

I can't wait to get this exam over so I can sort this bloody hair. Its turned 15 different shades of blonde and my roots are at my ears!

I probably won't post this weekend because Alan is home :D and at work I just wear something I've already worn this week so that I don't have a drama in the morning deciding what to wear.
Smart? or Lazy? You can make up your own mind :)

I didn't manage to get a post up yesterday as I ended up baby sitting. Which was so much fun, but exhausting. Sleeping in a bed with two kicking children is a nightmare.

I bought this skirt the other day and had been eyeing it up for a while but just didn't think it would suit as I had tried crochet shorts and they looked awful, but I'm putting that down to shorts as I don't suit them at all. The length of this skirt is absolutely perfect, at first I wasn't sure what I could wear with it but now I'm not too worried I think it'll go with lots. I'm totally fed up of wearing tights though.

Once again another appearance of my real hair. Its finally getting to a good length were I feel comfortable not wearing my extensions, thank god, its only taken like 5 years! However at the end of the month I am changing my hair colour as I have finally found a Cruelty Free hair dye! and I am getting some new extensions (24 inches long, aww yeah!) but  wont be wearing them as much. Save them for special occasions!

Only two photos today. Again due to blurriness. So I am currently scrolling the Internet for a new remote :)

I wore this today for a wee trip to Glasgow. I'm sick of sitting in the house even though I'm meant to be studying for an exam, that is a week and a half away, really need to start. Soon. So I found this skirt in my wardrobe and the outfit just suddenly popped into my head. I do that a lot its like I have a wardrobe memory bank. Sometimes I don't like what my brain suggests, sometimes I do. I don't think this outfit will be everyones taste, but I liked it so.

I went to Miss Selfridge today to find this dress. Worn by my fashion crush Lydia Bright. I'm in love with it and its definitely my kind of dress, and for £65! Amazing. But when I went into buy it I seen two neds (Chavs) trying it on and immediately I was put off! So I didn't buy it, and I'm glad. When I see lots of people buying something I like it really puts me off. Ironic considering I wanted it after seeing it worn on someone. I know there will be similar dresses on the high street soon. Maybe I will like one of those.

I'm quite unsure about pencil skirts because I am so short, but I took a risk and I'm quite happy with it, however next time I will team it with ankle boots as my legs were bloody freezing. This outfit had a wierd SATC feel to it, I dunno why I just imagine Sam wearing something similar, with Louboutins obviously.

I also need to invest in replacing my broken remote for my camera, sick of footering about, resulting in blurry photos. An excuse to go shopping ... and buy another pencil skirt!

Today I was working so this is what I wore to work. I go full time in a few weeks so everything will be stuff I've worn to work. I'll try and make it interesting.

Its still freezing in Scotland, but since I was in work I thought I could risk getting a little cold and wear a skirt. I wanted to wear the skirt today so the top was added to make it look a little more rocky than summery. The shoes are old but a favourite and if you add a bit of leopard print it always looks more rocky.

I've had a boring wee day really. I got really upset when I heard about the Grand National. If your on my twitter you'll be well aware of my feelings about it. I went horse riding for years and I love horses and just hearing about it all absolutely devastated me. I hope this is the last time this sort thing happens.

Flatforms.

Shirt H&M

Flatforms New Look

Since my last post I've been in bed with the flu,  and a really bad one at that. So today was the first day I've been out of bed. I'm not really one for getting dressed up if I'm not doing anything special. So today's outfit is exceptionally boring. No that any of my outfits are particularly exciting. I feel like I've been in a rut the last few months. The Scottish weather isn't helping either, I just wish it would hurry up and heat up because right now its sunny but still freezing so I am mid way between a summer and winter wardrobe.
Its really frustrating!

I've set a few missions for the next few months:
1. I also want to start wearing heels more. I'm thinking at 22 maybe its time to start wearing them a bit. I just always feel like an idiot in them because I'm so tiny. I feel like I just look like a wee girl in high shoes rather than Ms Bradshaw.

2. Find MY style. I have absolutely no set style. Which I used to like but now I just feel really lost and wish I could define my sense of style a little more rather than just being all over the place.

3. Get more confidence for work. If you asked my friends they would never in a million years say I lack confidence, which I don't, when I'm comfortable. When I'm comfortable, know what I'm doing and around people I feel OK around, I'm fine! I am a hard worker and I do a good job at anything I do. But, when I'm in new situations or with people I don't know, I am a mess, I get so so so nervous and muck thing up constantly. I really want to get over this, otherwise I'm never going to get my career off the ground.

Also, I freaking love my flatforms!

So I have been MIA for ages now. I'd love to say it was due to something fun, but it wasn't. I had all my uni hand ins, plus moving home, then Alan came home for a week so I've had a wee Blog Vakay!
But! I'm back!

I've really missed blogging loads, and I've been taking OOTD photos all the time so I'd have something to show.
