Blonde Bow.

Dress Topshop
Necklace Razzle Dazzle

I have been sporting this hair bow for days now, its great because it feels good to have my hair up, especially with this rotten rainy weather we have been having in Glasgow. Don't ask me how I done it because I honestly can't remember and I will probably never be able to re create this ever again.

At first I felt like the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland ... but now I'm used to it and I've got loads of compliments about it, so that's nice!

I love the colour of this dress, its like a really bright dusty pink, its hard to describe but its honestly beautiful. I got it in the sale for £7 and cut it too sort ... so I went and bought another and used the ruined one to turn into a top! Thrifty or what! For £7, why not.

I've been working at my new job now for about 3 weeks now ... and thrilled to say its going great, better than great! I am absoloutely loving it and so so so happy that leaving my last job was deffinately the right thing, I'm really enjoying it and dare I say it ... I seem to be feeling much better :) I am however working full time this week which means I'm out the house from 9am to 8pm so I might let the blogging slide a little cause I'm shattered.

I am updating my Instagram constantly so its become a mini blog so if your not following here is my user name, come say hi :)

High Tea For Me.

After my birthday last year ... which was, long time readers will know, not the best. I had just split up with my boyfriend and at that point I was kind of avoiding spending it with my friends because I was still quite sad and didn't want to be around anything that reminded me of him. I just remember saying to myself; "Next year my Birthday is going to be awesome"

I think as well 23 was a very tough year for me and I kind of see 24 as another fresh start ... perhaps the age were I should grow up ... only time will tell I guess.

I've been a complete brat to my mum and sister for a few weeks now, saying "Oh I've had a tough few months, WHAT GOOD PRESENTS ARE YOU GETTING ME TO MAKE ME HAPPY?!?!" :D

I had booked the trip to Blackpool with my friends instead of just a night out that we do all the time, and it was a brilliant day. On the Sunday, my actual birthday my Mum and Sister were amazing and spoiled me rotten and surprised me with a high tea party with all my aunts and cousins!

It was so lovely and I definitely had an amazing Birthday!

24 Years Later.

This weekend I turned *Cough* ... 24 ... *Cough* so to prove to myself that I'm still down with the kids and not ALMOST 30 ... I headed off to Blackpool Pleasure Beach for the day with some of my closest friends :)

It was a long day, but so much fun, roller coasters will never get old, although I did get a migraine after two rides and had to take some pain relief ... but after that we were back on track! Whoo Hooo!

Here are just some wee snaps from the day!

Pale Pearls.

I've been trying to get a top like this one for ages! Tried on in Forever21 about 17 times even though I knew the first time that it didn't fit. I was over the moon when this one fit and it was only £7 in the sale and I think the F21 one was about £26ish ... how often does something like that happen.

I teamed it with my leather look leggings to mix up the textures and make it a little more chic and expensive looking. I wanted to keep it classic so I stuck to base coloured accessories with the pale pearls and my nude shoes.

I swear I will start taking proper photos ... but this is just so easy ...I'm torn because I want a photographer boyfriend to help me with my photos ... but I'd rather pull all my eyelashes out than have another boyfriend ... you can see my dilemma.

Classic Fruit Salad.

I absolutely love this blazer! Its bringing me some winter happiness in this dark gloomy weather! It looks like something you'd get from River Island but for £17 is more than half of what I'd expect to pay from RI. The bright colour and big print make it really stand out so I kept everything else black to make it the main focus of the outfit.

This pleather dress is one of the pieces in my wardrobe I wear again and again. Mines is Primark but I know Topshop had a similar one recently and even tho it will be much more expensive than this one, its definitely an investment piece.

Finally how adorable is my bag :) Its a wee IPad case but I've used it as a clutch. I felt like a child in my Fruit Salad inspired blazer so I added my bag for a wee bit of kitch fun!

Mare Tartan.

Posting this a little late as I wasn't feeling very well, but better late than never.

I was a bit grumpy about paying £25 for leggings, but I'm not so bothered now since I've worn them a good few times already and despite the tartan being so bold I've thought of loads I could pair them with. They are easy enough to dress up or down too, so actually, £25 wasn't bad at all.

I've took all my photos this week via the good old mirror selfie but I'm hoping to get them a bit better cause I've ordered a 4ft tripod ... now I just have to think of a better lighting solution ... and you know ... stop sleeping in so I actually have time to take some photos!

Happy Valentines day!

I hate this day because its all so forced and fake and I see these couples being all lovely when I know one is cheating/is a control freak/together for all the wrong reasons etc etc and it just bugs me!

I embraced the love theme today though with my accessories and my Lime Crime Velvetine lips and now I am sitting with lots of food and horror movies!

Give me this over boy drama any day :)

I hope all you nice couples have had a nice one :)

These photos are driving me insane! Is it awful that I'm trying to get my sister to move out so I can use her room for a white wall and good lighting? ... Hmmm. I need to get a better tripod and something to make the lighting better, anyone any ideas?

This outfit did not match the SNOW that was on the ground today! It was a bit summery for February. I'm loving my boyfriend jeans and these ones fit like a dream, so excited to wear them in summer (because its Scotland and I will still have to wear jeans) with wee Cami's and sandals. They are so versatile because you can wear them with oversized tees and converse for a casual look, or with shirts, heels and a nice blazer for a more chic look ... I like both.

This week I was a very organised Bran and I picked all my outfits for the week on Sunday. My plan is to post them on my instagram (@thebrantasticlife) then they will go live on here at night. I'm determined to get the blog into some sort of order, plus it will stop me looking like shit everyday because I'm ALWAYS running late.

I've been waiting for this dress to come into Petite for ages so I jumped as soon as I seen it in Toppers. This is one of the things I really like about Topshop each year, they have one dress that I know will work with everything, its usually one of their massive sellers, everyone must get the same idea. But this is the dress for 2014. I will wear this to death. You cannot go wrong with a stripe and you can turn this dress to whatever you want, day, night, casual, dressy, its so easy to work with.

I had originally paired this with a pair of pumps for that Parisian feel, but then it started snowing and I though better of having freezing toes. I think it looks adorable with my wee frilly socks ... and my toes are cosy, win win!

Hair Update 8.

So this marks a year since I decided to shave all my hair off.
Like I have said before I decided to do it then waited a few months before I actually done it!

I feel like the growing is slowing down now, but all my family say differently so I'm probably just used to it. I'm excited for it all to get a good bob style length and maybe then I will stop wearing my wig. I'm also almost at the point where I can pin it up so that I can get on of those fake buns! (Did I say all this last month? Probably!)

Everyone always asks what I'm going to do once it gets to the length I want it. Well once it gets long enough I will be ombre-ing the bottom of it. I think its too dark and I want to go back to blonde. However I don't want to touch my roots and then have to redo it again and again so the ombre will get the desired effect but not damage my hair as much. My hair does bleach in the sun though so it might naturally do it which would be even better!

It will be a year on the 7th of June and I'm planning something big for the anniversary which I will try to share soon!

Snuggle Muffin.

Have you ever seen anything more adorable than mini macaroons?

While we where at the Rainbow Room the other night, some of the girls invited us along to another blogger night over at a wee bakery in town called Snuggle Muffin.

Once we got over we were greeted with amazing frozen candy cocktails and all the cakes and sandwichs we could eat. It was wonderful and the food was absoloutely fantastic! There was also a wee cake decorating competition to win a wee spa trip, you can see my entry up top. I call it the Katy Perry ;) it was deeeelish!

For it being an unexpected surprise to end up going to two blogger events, Snuggle Muffin was brilliant! The cafe Located is at 120 George Street Glasgow, Right behind Straphy Uni so its ideal for student lunches and pre lecture sugar rushes.

The Cafe does everything from cupcakes to high tea, sandwiches and even pancakes (Can you tell I'm foaming at the mouth!) On the website you can also book cake decorating classes and they also do catering for events.

Definitely head over I promise you won't be disappointed!
